- When I Was A Boy
.
When I was a boy I grew up in a Fundamentalist Baptist Church and family environment.
.
One of the leaders in the church was a man who had the reputation of being a strict Christian father. He and his wife were German immigrants both of whom had problems pronouncing some American words. I remember he led the singing in our church and it was fun how when he was in the pulpit leading a song, he wouldsay, "Now, let's sing the third verse," in his German accent where a v came out sounding like a w.
.
Anyway, he had two sons and one daughter. And, both his sons graduated from medical school as doctors. One, Paul Meyers, came to be a popular Christian radio show host as afounder of the Meiers Minirth Clinic. He co-authored a book that I recommend highly, Happiness Is A Choice.
